Paris Hilton Releases New Music For Rose Rush!

Summer has arrived! Why? Pop princess Paris Hilton has teased new music! She tweeted part of her new single “Summer Reign” in a video promo or her new Rosé Rush perfume.

“So proud to announce the launch of my 23rd perfume Rosé Rush with my new single #SummerReign,” the 36-year-old tweeted Tuesday, July 11. She even shared a clip of the club anthem. “When it feels this good I come alive, when it feels this good I get so wild,” the heiress sings over a cascade of synths. “When it feels this good, welcome to my summer reign.”

Idolator reports:

EDM’s most relevant DJ has been chipping away at her sophomore LP since at least 2013 when she dropped “Good Time.” Paris followed that up with another bop called “Come Alive” in 2014 and then rebranded with the grittier “High Off My Love” in 2015. At this point, the part-time diva has enough material for a very enjoyable EP. There’s still no official release date for “Summer Reign” yet, but it could arrive as early as this Friday.

Hlton’s debut album Paris came out in 2006. Upon its release, Paris received generally mixed reviews from music critics, but it was a commercial success, peaking at number six on the Billboard 200 with first-week sales of 77,000 copies.

The new music received great reviews from AllMusic’s Stephan Thomas Erlewine who, said that the album was “more fun than anything released by Britney Spears or Jessica Simpson, and a lot fresher, too.”

Mark Daniels from Yahoo! Music said the new album was “actually rather good,” before adding: “To many it’ll appear that […] Ms. Hilton has bought herself a singing career. And in many ways it could be argued that she has. But so what? With some contagious pop, genuinely stylish moments and a complete lack of inane ballads, it was worth every penny.”

According to Billboard’s Keith Caulfield, “Does it matter that Paris Hilton isn’t a great singer? Not really. […] Wisely, the gaggle of producers and writers enlisted for the project don’t require Hilton to do more than she’s capable of, thus making “Paris” an enjoyable pop romp. […] Naysayers be damned: Hilton releasing an album does not signal the end of days. “Paris” won’t change the world, but it’s good fun.
