We’ve been waiting for this Starboy!
This epic mini movie is everything we were waiting for! We’ve been listening to Starboy on repeat since it dropped last week, but now… MANIA is our newest obsession. The visual opens up on the same panther from the “Starboy” video in a photo shoot with a new track that features Future called “All I Know.”
Then, we’re back in the car with The Weekend, sans panther, as he drives some through some cliffs as the car pulls up to the club and we are now thrown in the club scene, and we are hit with the sixth track, “Secrets” – and OMG we lose our minds! “Secrets” is possibly our favorite track on the entire album!
After that things get a little weird, We are down with some make-out jams, before The Weekend heads to the bathroom to wash his hands… and damn, smack he’s getting jacked by a guy with a knife as our second favorite track “Party Monster” kicks in.
The short film is directed by Grant Singer, who we previously wrote about as responsible for the “Starboy” video. Singer has directed several other videos for The Weekend, including Beauty Behind the Madness hits “The Hills,” “Can’t Feel My Face,” and “Tell Your Friends.”
The credits roll out with the amazing “I Feel It Coming” collaboration featuring Daft Punk! The whole thing is sensational, can we get more of Daft Punk, more of the Weekend and more of Grant Singer! PLEASE!
