With the conclusion of the third week at my internship, it is now time to celebrate the 4th of July! Most of the office is heading out to the Hamptons or Montauk, but I have made my way to Washington D.C.. Nothing sounds better than escaping to a new place to spend the holiday weekend.
I was surround by people showing off their 4th of July outfits that only see daylight once a year, but I decided to take a much different approach. If you know me, color is not something you find in my wardrobe. I drown myself in black, grey, white and sometimes beige. Despite me looking un-festive for the occasion, I think my outfit looked cute and different from the typical red, white and blue.
To start, I wore a white and black vertical striped off-the-shoulder top from Urban Outfitters. Stripes make it festive, right? Cold shoulder pieces are a definite must-have for the summer and look adorable when worn with chokers. I paired the top with black denim shorts and black gladiator sandals, then I added my favorite gold rings. I felt super comfortable in my outfit and got tons of compliments! If you want to try the cold shoulder trend, I totally recommend going to Urban Outfitters. They have so many options no matter what your style is! #DiaryOfAnUnpaidFashionIntern
