Our cookbook comprises a range of different ideas, including storybook-cookbook hybrids, and child-appropriate recipes. When compiling the cookbook, we looked for recipes with mouthwatering appeal, simple instructions, and it has kid-friendly layouts, with helpful tips for adults. We asked for parents’ advice, too, and some recipes were tried out by parents with young children, allowing us to see how kitchen-friendly the book really is. As cooking with kids can get messy, we hope you still enjoy the fun!
Directions: Directions are given in two ways for each recipe. The first set of directions are easy simple replacements for recipes (box mixes, special frosting kits, etc.) And the second set of directions are for kids and are very simple directions. Grown-ups can let the child lead the cooking as they follow step by step process which give them detailed exact measurements and helpful hints.
Pictures: Great instagram classics for little cooks! On the adult page there are nostalgic 80s tales and full color photos that give the pages a whimsical feel.
Additional information: We love this book! It is easy for Little Bit to follow directions and I am able to check the detailed directions for measurements. The recipes are simple and fun to make.
